Zappa mexico ii5/26/2023 This isn't something I would normally care about, but what concerned me was that my pressings didn't match the database or did not have high confidence. I did some quick search and voila, it turns out Universal is indeed moving manufacturing to Mexico according to this November 2018 article. After looking it up, codes beginning KK belong to Mexico. WOIIFTM - Mould code: IFPI KK01 / Mastering: IFPI LV77Įverything looks 100% legit, but I was immediately concerned because I rarely if ever have seen IFPI KKXX. YAWYI - Mould code: IFPI KK1Y / Mastering IFPI L779 Both discs have a mould SID code beginning KK. I then checked the matrix and SID codes of both discs. ![]() Nice glossy materials, labeling looks perfect. Just to make sure I didn't receive some nice looking bootlegs, I checked the discs and booklet over. These have been out since 2012, so I immediately thought something was up as there should be plenty ripped to the Accuraterip database already. WOIIFTM ripped with a confidence of only 3. Much to my surprise, YAWYI did not match any pressings in the database and couldn't be verified. ![]() I always rip to FLAC using EAC and it automatically checks the rip using Accuraterip. These are brand new CDs bought from a reputable large retailer. ![]() I received a few new Zappa CDs for Christmas to replace my old Rykos/EMIs, of those included You Are What You Is and We're Only in it for the Money.
